Alan Sobba

Alan is a well-connected and strategic public policy advocate who provides his clients with a spectrum of national and international public affairs needs – from high-touch lobbying to effective media relations.

Alan’s past leadership roles working with policy decision makers and regulators created an expert-level understanding of how government really works. Alan has served in public policy related role; Chief Policy and Communications officer for the International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG), the Director of External Affairs for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the Director of Government Relations office for the Commissioner of Baseball, and the Director of Tax & Trade Policy for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.

A true entrepreneur in his style and way of thinking, Alan also works with several early stage companies as an advisor, board member, and investor.  These businesses are primarily in fintech, biotech and simply using technology to over greater efficiency in their product space.

Alan received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, an MBA degree from Arizona State University, and his law degree from the University of Kansas. He, his wife Listi and their four children live in Arlington, Virginia.
