FNA joins the Mojaloop Foundation’s newly launched Global Partner Program
Financial Network Analytics (FNA) is proud to join the Mojaloop Foundation’s newly launched Global Partner Program. This initiative focuses on accelerating financial inclusion through inclusive instant payment systems (IIPS). FNA joins esteemed organizations such as AfricaNenda, the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), and the Modular Open-Source Identity Platform (MOSIP) in this vital global effort.
As a partner, FNA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Mojaloop Foundation to help ensure that the rapid growth of these inclusive systems is accompanied by robust, systemic fraud prevention capabilities. As instant payments scale, understanding the scam and fraud difference becomes critical. Because modern scams increasingly rely on authorized manipulation rather than simple unauthorized access, defending these networks requires advanced, real-time collaboration.
Dr. Kimmo Soramäki, FNA Founder and CEO, commented:
“As instant payment systems expand, it is crucial to ensure they remain secure and resilient. Our partnership with the Mojaloop Foundation will equip the financial system with advanced AI tools to detect and prevent fraud and recover stolen funds for victims, safeguarding financial ecosystems and the communities they serve.”
Building National Fraud Portals for Hub Operators
FNA will work closely with the hub operators implementing Mojaloop to support the development of shared National Fraud Portals. By leveraging advanced financial network analytics, these portals will assist financial institutions, law enforcement, and other stakeholders in their fight against financial crime by enabling:
Real-Time Tracing: Tracking illicit fund flows across multiple institutions in seconds.
Payment Fraud Detection: Utilizing AI and behavioral network signals to identify anomalies and halt unauthorized or manipulated transactions.
Cross-Agency Collaboration: Providing a unified utility for banks and authorities to share intelligence, trace money mules, and recover stolen funds for victims.
